CHILI'S Houston Region Restaurants are "Hot"
when it comes to Support
The Houston Area Chili's Restaurants really know how to serve up
fine food and they also know how to help when it comes to fighting
Batten's Disease. On two fronts the Chili's support team helped us
by putting on a fantastic Golf Tournament and through their Pepper Partner's Fundraiser.
Their 14th Annual Charity Golf Classic was great fun and helped
raise mucho
funds for LRBF. We hope to have final totals and some pictures
soon. The Chili's team also supported us by selling Red Hot
Chili Peppers in their individual
stores through their Pepper Partner's Fundraiser Promotion. Thanks
Chili's Team for your help in the fight.
"BLUEBONNETS ON THE BRAZOS RUN" A GREAT SUCCESS
On an absolutely gorgeous Saturday morning recently
some 50 runners ran through the beautiful countryside inside
Washington on the Brazos State Park. They ran by Texas wildflowers, Independence Hall, and the
Brazos River Overlook at the birthplace of Texas. We'll try to have
results and pictures posted soon for everyone to see. Thanks
for everyone's hard work in making the run such a wonderful success.
Thanks mostly to those who came and ran and lent us great advise how
to have an even better run next year.
LRBF, 1st ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT
THE LUKE & RACHEL BATTEN FOUNDATION was hosted by the Great
Hills Country Club for their 1st Annual Golf Tournament. The Golf
Tournament was a rousing success thanks to our group of hard working
volunteers.
LUNCH WITH GENE STALLINGS
THE LUKE & RACHEL BATTEN FOUNDATION is proud to have had Coach Gene
Stallings as our Guest Speaker for a Benefit Luncheon in support
of the Foundation. The Luncheon was very successful and all who
attend were inspired by Coach Stallings to help in whatever way they
